Mercury Marine® Presents the New Avator™ 75e and 110e

Mercury Marine® Introduces New Avator™ 75e and 110e Electric Outboards

Mercury is expanding its award-winning Avator™ Electric Propulsion series to better meet the needs for sustainable water adventures. Following successful showcases at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, Mercury Marine®—a subsidiary of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC)—officially launched the Avator™ 75e and 110e electric outboards on June 4, 2024.

These new models are the latest additions to Mercury’s all-electric lineup, which also includes the Avator 7.5e, 20e, and 35e. Since its 2023 debut, the Avator™ series has won numerous design and innovation awards in both the boating and electronics industries. Most recently, the Avator 20e and 35e received 2024 CES Innovation Awards in the “Sustainability, Eco-Design & Smart Energy” category, as well as the 2024 Boating Industry Top Products Awards.

“We are proud of all the accolades we have received to date for our Avator electric outboards and are excited to introduce our most powerful new models,” said John Buelow, President of Mercury Marine®. “The 75e and 110e electric outboards are suitable for powering a range of vessels, including pontoons, runabouts, skiffs, and RIBs up to approximately 22 feet, providing more boat owners with a user-friendly, sustainable boating experience”.

Powerful Performance

Featuring Avator’s industry-first transverse flux motor technology, which delivers instant torque and reliable, efficient power, the new models offer the following performance:

  • Avator 75e: Produces 7,500 Watts at the prop shaft, equivalent to 10 horsepower.
  • Avator 110e: Produces 11,000 Watts at the prop shaft, equivalent to 15 horsepower.
  • Controls: Both models are available with digital remote controls for console boats. The 75e is also available with a multi-function tiller.
  • Standard Features: A standard power tilt system makes it easy to adjust for maximum performance or to raise the engine in shallow waters.

Batteries and Charging

The new Avator 75e and 110e electric outboards utilize an advanced energy management system designed for flexibility and ease of use:

  • Avator 5400 Power Center: This hub allows for the seamless integration of up to four Avator 5400Wh lithium-ion batteries, which are rugged and weather-sealed to extend range and runtime.
  • Single-Point Charging: The Power Center enables convenient, simultaneous charging of multiple batteries from a single location.
  • Charging Options: Boaters can use a portable 520W charger to recharge two depleted batteries in approximately 20 hours, or opt for a 1040W charger to cut that time in half.
  • Digital Monitoring: All models come standard with an intelligent, full-color digital display that tracks speed, distance, remaining time/range, battery level, and power output.
  • Display Mounting: For remote console configurations, the display can be pedestal-mounted or flush-mounted, while tiller models have the display integrated directly into the engine.

Connectivity

Modern technology is integrated into the 75e and 110e models to enhance the user experience:

  • SmartCraft® Connect: These outboards feature a pre-installed module that wirelessly connects the engine to the Mercury Marine® app on a mobile device.
  • Mercury Marine App: Users can monitor battery status and performance data, view GPS maps with range visualizations, and receive customized alerts.
  • Sustainability Tracking: The app allows owners to track their reduced carbon footprint by estimating the emissions avoided while using the electric motor.

Commitment to Sustainability

The Avator™ program represents Mercury’s ongoing effort to redefine marine propulsion with a positive environmental impact:

  • Zero Direct Emissions: The electric outboards transform the boating experience by operating without exhaust fumes or direct emissions.
  • Recyclability: Each engine is constructed using many components that are either recyclable or reusable.
