Safety
Unlike gasoline engines, the Cox Marine V8 utilizes compression-ignition diesel technology, eliminating the explosion risk associated with spark ignition. With its higher fuel flash point system and heavy-duty construction, the V8 enhances safety for both crew and vessel, especially in hazardous environments and missions.
Lower Emissions
The Cox Marine V8 is the only high-powered diesel outboard to have achieved BSO-II certification, alongside EPA Tier 3, IMO II, and RCD II. Emitting just 4.6 g/kWh of combined hydrocarbons and NOx, it outperforms other diesel propulsion systems in terms of environmental impact, without compromising on power.
